Main tasks Accountant

  • Preparation of annual and interim financial statements for companies, trusts and foundations, including all administrative and bookkeeping accounting aspects (recording bank transactions, sales invoices, managing suppliers, preparing spreadsheets for VAT returns);
  • Manage accounting issues with Trust managers, clients and their advisors;
  • Preparation of tax declarations, including VAT declarations and related statements as well as reports for authorities and insurance companies;
  • Managing payroll matters (salary calculation, accounting records, relations with public bodies, etc.);
  • Participate and drive the enhancement of accounting systems and internal financial controls for clients;
  • Maintenance and update of customer correspondence files;
  • General assistance and secretariat activities for the company

Qualifications and requirements

  • Knowledge of accounting and taxation aspects
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position (previous experience in an accountancy firm is a plus)
  • Strong organizational and social skills
  • Flexibility and proactivity
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on detail
  • Excellent knowledge of the most popular accounting systems and of the MS-Office system
  • Fluent knowledge of the English language
  • Certificate of Specialist in Finance and Accounting (plus)
  • Good knowledge of German (plus)
  • Experience within a Swiss company (plus)
